DANCING THROUGH YOUR DOORS OF RESISTANCE

Life is not about how well you do when you’re flying high but how well you persevere through the times of difficulty. For in the difficulties lie opportunities for growth and when you overcome you burst through that shadowed veil of illusion that makes you think you can’t. That makes you think you should stop, turn back, give up on your dreams and stay small. Each thing you overcome leads to the next which is bigger and better than you can ever imagine.

So when you find yourself at the door of resistance, even if you hesitate, even if you have a setback, find a way to eventually dance through that door to the unknown on the other side. Often you will find that what you had to overcome is not so bad as you will have garnered the strength to get through it in the ascent.

More doors will come, each easier and easier to dance through and guess what? When you get to that room you think is your endgame, you’ll likely feel the calling to new doors, secret passageways you didn’t even know were there.

There will always be more to overcome so you might as well learn to dance with the overcoming. Make resistance a partner, a friend, a shadowed sibling who, when seen through a certain lens, is your best friend, the one who pushes you, the one who shapes you for the road ahead.

All discomfort is something to be looked at. Look beyond your own discomfort and see the lessons within. Be grateful for it, for it will help you shine as you shed it.
